There is a type of lead or tie out they make for patrol dogs that regrip like that... It is kinda like a bungee cord and u have the dog pull all the slack out, when he tries to regrip or chew its going to yank his ass back, its supposed  to teach the dog once he gets a hold don't open its mouth...you could probably work him at the end of a chain and pull on the hog, keep it in a bind, once he goes to chewing or regripping you should pull the hog away, do it a couple times and if he keeps doing it dont let him try again for a few days so he will realize he ain't gonna get it back if he lets go..
