  I make my own leather and chain tree leads .  I just cant stand the feel of cable around my wrist .  but I still use leather collars as well [ make my own  ]  old habits die hard lol  . a young dog may chew up and eat a leather lead and I will just put a new piece of leather on it . but when they chew up a cable lead you can do no more than throw it in the scrap pile  .
