they say you can't teach and old dog new tricks, but I bet you wave a coon in front of him and he'll remember everything he may have forgot LOL.  I'd turn a coon lose and see what he'll do.  I bet he'll do fine.  May have to get him in shape.  Good luck with him and keep me posted.
