Halfbreed, always enjoy your comments. Funny stuff everybody... I made the statement to a person the other day about how serious dog hunters are about their dogs, and this was the main reason I don't have many hunting buddies. I turn loose to hear the dogs run. I love a good race. If they lose it, quit it, tree it, or catch it on the ground I'm still having fun. If they caught one everytime I turned them loose, well, it wouldnt take long and I'd have nothing to run. I admire you guys that try and make a legitimate side business out of the hunting dog world. I completely understand that if Halfbreed sells me a pup for 300$, plus shipping, it is a fraction of what has gone into producing a pup that will get excited and chase game if given the opportunity. Seems like everytime I get around other dog hunters, I'm asking myself why this person is in perpetual defense of every little move their dog is making. It's subtle, but it's there. How did the man say it? "The only thing a person will lie about worse than their dog is their kid."
