My thoughts on it is if you bred him to be a catch dog he's a cull. Even worse if you NEED him to be a catch dog he's a cull. On the bright side is he can be a useful cull if you have another catch dog to do what he should've done. I like a good gritty dog that'll grab a mouth full of nuts to sit a runner down. But if he stays caught on the nuts that would aggravate me having to break him off of the nuts or trying to flip a hog with him in the way. Only you will know if he's gonna work out for you and your particular style of hunting.
