From my limited experience with ABs, I'd say they are faster and more agile. My pits, and again, I'm no expert on pits or ABs, I just kept what I needed for catchdogs and can't tell you one bloodline from another, where strong and had decent speed. But from my limited experience with these ABs, they run much more gracefully and with an ease that the pits didn't have. We let out dogs out every afternoon to have play time and the pits would race around and we'd joke that they must have thought they were grayhounds when in fact that were not. Their top speed movements were awkward and not too gracefull. Watching the ABs is totally different. Very smooth gait and also seems effortless. But someone with years of pit experience may correct me and say 'that's not so.' I'm just speaking of the dogs I've had.
