bo I keep it in the young dogs water at all times . it's ok to skip to every other week . the old dogs will get cocci but their systems can handle it , same as with mature chickens . it is just the young that haven't built up an immunity to it that it will take down fast . it is the dehydration from the scours that kills them. if you can keep them hydrated most all will pull through [ after medicating with a cocci drug ] I just use a large cattle stringe and pump the liquid under the skin around the neck area . I use a product called resorb for scouring calves it has glucose and electolites in powder form you mix with water .
