I use Mitaban on Meaty. He also gets ivermectin daily. I just spoke with Dr Kainer about a topical that he's having good luck with on manged dogs, but he said that there is no substitute for the ivermectin. There is also a salve (sulphur based) that claims to cure red mange at the feed store. I can't recall the name but Nu Stock makes it. IT WORKS. I use this on Meat, but it is expensive when one whole $14 can only lasts two applications. Smells of BarBQ too.
Neutering Meaty has made it so that I have dealt with only one outbreak in five or six months. I used to deal with them constantly.
