I dabble in the sport of Schutzhund with my Dobermann, but I train with some folks who judge competitions around the nation. Protection is one of the three areas of focus for the sport along with obedience and tracking. I've seen some people post on here about protection work before, and even seen some shepherds/malinois trained in protection used on hogs. Makes sense as most working dogs have high prey drive. Search the forum and you'll find some cool stuff.
