I agree Slck I do the same thing. But you know the more you expose these people the better off the dog trade is. There is nothing wrong with buying selling or trading dogs it has been going on for decades . My grandfather and his grandfather bought sold and traded dogs and I know the majority of you guys and family history has done as well.  
Sorry to be brutal but the way I was brought up if the dog didn't hunt then the dog didn't live. No matter if you got screwed or not. I have bought dogs for to much money in the past and hunted them and thought to myself " dang I got screwed" oh well where is my pistol?  I'm not going to sell the dog to someone else that's why junk continues to breed.
I've learned if I don't know the person well enough that he will let me take the dog huntin before money is exchanged then I don't buy it.

All i need is dogs that stay busy huntin . Ta hell with range.
