You can also apply styptic powder to clot the wound. Ears tend to take forever to heal and reopen alot, especially if the dog shakes his head alot and whenever their blood pressure gets elevated. If he shakes his head constantly you can do a head wrap with gauze. Kinds looks like a bonnet, that way the ear stays stationary.
