Not trying to ruffle any feathers or start an argument but as far as the Ladner dogs go I live in the same area as the source of these dogs and no one who hunts hard and all the time will feed them. They are bred solely on profit and not production. Your buying a name. There are a few individuals who have kept a few of the old mans dogs and have bred them true and straight but they don't advertise and only breed a gyp every few years. I've seen countless of these dogs and maybe a handful of them were mediocre dogs at best. If you can find someone who has bred this line of dogs for personal use and could get a pup from them you would be better off. You would figure if those dogs were all they are advertised to be then the folks that live around him would be hunting them. Heck the fella who has taken over even was advertising a while back that the price of his pups were going up because the price of feed was, if that don't tell ya what he's in it for then I don't know what to tell ya.
