iv seen an extra gas shock mounted from the upper frame to the lower frame at or slightly below the rear diff on 4 wheelers. i don't see why you couldn't do the same for a ranger. it may take i lil stiffer shock for a ranger compared to a wheeler, but its doable, especially if you have a receiver hitch, or a place to bolt/mount a receiver hitch to. with rcvr, weld a bracket on that the shock mount hole will fit through, and do the same for the top and bolt it up. problably take no more than an hr to cut, weld and bolt it all together.
