What is the tpwd ? And this is just my preference here but I wouldn't keep a coon more than a couple or 3 days for ttraining purposes.  I believe they take on other scents. I like them to smell as natural as possible. And around these parts there pretty easy to catch. So I was never worried about not being able to get my hands on another one. Also every coon I've ever caught had rubbed his wrists raw looking for ways out . Smart little boogers .
