Where do you get your dogs streak? We hunt with pits mostly, have had a few with MOST of the qualities these gentleman have mentioned. Have one now we couldn't be prouder of. Too bad the pound cut him before we got him. Such is life. But I wouldn't mind hearing about your dogs streak!!
3 dogs I got from Hairy Holder.   All 3 are femals.   One 2 year old and 2 nine month old pups.   These dogs are wolf hound/deer hound/ mastiff dogs.   Pups have a touch of dane and boxer in them as well.
I have a male stag also.   He is 3 years old.    He will wind pigs and pick up a hot track.  He bred my 2 year old gyp a few weeks ago.     Wasn't a planned event but my fault eventhough I was away at work.   Should make me some good dogs though.
One of the pups i got from Hairy Holder is my favorite dog though.    She caught and held a sow that was just over the 100 pound mark when she was 6.5 months old.    The sow bit her on her knee but she never let go.   Didn't think the sow was gonna let go either lol.   The pup got freaking pissed and really got rough with the sow.   Eventhough the pup did so well catching and holding the sow by herself, I figured it best that I put her up for a few months till she got a little older.     This past days off I took her out a couple times with my stag.    Twice they lined out on the same hog and caught.   Twice more each dog lined out of their own hog and caught and held by themselves.   At this early stage I'm not really trying to get her to go for her own pigs out of a group but I'm happy that she does.    Next days off its the other pups turn to run with my stag.
I have a female pit I'm pretty attached to but she is more of a lead in catch dog.   She is quick but not fast.   Kinda on the short side and she isn't suited to the style of hog dogging I have gravitated to.
I tried to post a picture of my pup on a nice hog 1 out but it's saying the file is to large.    Oh well!
