Ehrlichiosis?

Lost my lead dog to complications of this disease last Spring. Got poor on me twice. Brought him back both times with a combination of Doxycycline and cephalexin. Disease finally swelled his heart bad. Put 'em on Vetmedin. Would have good days and bad days on and off for two weeks. Got over excerted one day around house(RAN 30 yards) and went down. Paralized and could not get back up. Had to put 'em down later on that night. Piss poor way to have to loose a good cur dog. Been struggling to replace him ever since.
