looking for old fart ford mechanics lol

lol yes sir I've been over under and around the old girl , I haven't pulled the valve covers or side plates yet but may have to if this new carb I'm waiting on doesn't do the trick . the one they sent out looked like a frankenstien built carb lol . I called the service tech at the manufact. [ rebuilders ] and he said they are running out of origanals on the bodies and have to have them made . but the fuel stream looked real weak to me on it like the acc. pump gasket was bad . when I do find the problem I know it will be simple . heck the motor I pulled when I swapped out engines had more rings in the oil pan than on the pistons and she still ran all over texas [ a little weak but would run ] lol these old sixes will take a beating for sure .
