I have wooden pens built 24" off the ground each pen has a jump box I wash right out the back and use rid ex the bacteria that you put in septic the bacteria eat the solids.I have zero issues with fleas and worms although I still use comfortis wormer and ivermectin.Also don't have to clip nails but I run my dogs a few times a week .I can see how chains would keep a dog in shape that didn't get worked but mine generally are sleeping and recovering from the last hunt until the next.I've thought about going to concrete in the future but am still on the fence.
