no...dogs didn't have a choice...we were a family of 9 kids, both parents and our grandfather living with us...so there were no scraps and we barely had the money to put food on the table...we ate a few farm animals for meat and had a garden...we raised grain for our cattle and poultry...killed deer as needed and no extra cash for dog food...most of the dogs I adopted were throw aways...if they wanted to eat they hunted with me...all hungry dogs will eventually hunt to eat...raw can be good but not important to do so...just feed a dog food that has it in writing on the bag, 100% nutritionally complete for all stages of life and it should be a good dog food...
no wonder why youre so smart, when you grow up like that you have to learn how to learn fast, good lessons for a youngster having to take care of a dog in that manner
