I don't have but one dog I'd call a hog dog, the rest just run amuck lookin for something to bark at.

Last year we killed around 52 hogs.  We don't hunt in the spring or summer, and quit hunting from the end of Ocotober till the end of November (deer season, bow and then rifle).  Most of the hogs we catch or kill are in January and February.

We mostly cast hunt our dogs, we are fortunate enough to have extremely large tracks of conservation ground to hunt with roads going around and through most of it.  Now and again I head out on foot to walk some dogs into places.

As far as huntin styles, why in the world does it bother other people the way another man hunts? Walk hunt, cast hunt just get your butts out there and hunt!!
