Out of all the dogs I've got to hunt with, Blakebh's Zig was probably top for finding and stopping hogs. He got it done one way or another... Once he sees a hog he didn't stop, endless bottom. He's still alive, but pretty much retired. He's sired quite a few litters and will hopefully continue to do so... But he taught me how to hunt hogs as well as a few other men I know.

The bitch in the pic with Zig is Pistol... And she is a dadgum go getter as well. Zig is her sire. She hunts different than her daddy, but has the endless bottom that we look for. Her and my Fred dog were probably one of the most fun pairs of dogs I've gotten to run behind. Really like her a lot.
And I will go ahead and say this as well, Blakebh's Jane was most solid catching, didn't care if she was getting torn up, not letting go CD I've EVER hunted behind. Although she had issues with anything that wasn't human, she was hell on wheels for hogs. Loved hat dog. RIP Jane.

Fred, Pistol, and Jane

Best dogs I own are by far Fred and PJ, my find and catch dogs. Fred doesn't quit... He's the kind of dog Tshelly describes as hunting for himself. Bottom for days... Lots of hunt. Don't have the population that y'all southerners do, but he hunts hard as he can to find anything anywhere we drop him. Getting pretty stubborn in his old age, but I'll take it.
PJ is my roll dog... If I go she goes unless she's in heat. From 8 months till now at almost 4 she's getting it done. Strong holding CD and great wind, and super smart dog.

BUT, the best dog I ever owned or have met was my T girl. She was 19 when she passed. She lived a long loyal life with my family, and was adored by everyone that met her. She wasn't a hunting dog... Although she's jumped rabbits and skunks ect, but she was my friend. I got her when I was 9 1/2... She died almost 3 years ago now. I'm 31. Still not over it... Miss her dearly.
