Setting it up is the easy part and the first loop usually goes on smooth. The second loop can be a little tricky when the loop come loose before you put it on the hog. A good partner that knows how to hold the feet can be a big help. I still think the easiest option for mule tape is to loop one leg and take the free running ends, going to another leg and pulling the free ends through a loop formed. Once you pull the legs tight together and tie a square knot, you can walk away and be sure he is not going anywhere. I believe this was mentioned earlier.
