Don't give ivomec to collies breeds and I think the Shepard breeds as well. It will kill them. Any other breeds are fine with the exception of some greyhounds, they are finicky as to what some can tolerate. All other breeds are fine on Ivomec. I don't give orally, I inject sub Q. I don't use regular ivomec, I use a different form of it but still, same thing with the regular stuff. You can inject it and it's what I prefer. One of the better heart worm worms there is and like said, ear mites, mange, etc. The Ivomec product I worm my dogs with monthly covers just about everything but 1 kind of tape worm and that's easy enough gotten rid with a particular horse wormer. As for the heriditary form of mange, you fight that best with the dogs own healthy immune system. If the dogs immune system is stressed or taxed in any way, you will have difficulties with this dogs mange till the dogs end of days. If you are interested in really taking controle of this dogs problem, your most likely gonna have to switch the dog to a proper raw diet and leave all kibble and canned dog food out of his diet no matter how good you thing the particular brand of kibble is. Don't even mix it in with raw! Your dog, do what you want but there it is.
