I'm in no way saying the dog has the heriditary form of mange.  If that's what it turns out to be, that's how I would address it if it were my dog.    Ivomec will knock the other out though.    Change the being area frequently or spray it with something that will kill mites in the dogs bedding area also just to be on safe side.  I do t know if mange might can live very long off their host or not.
