I'll try to explain how I tie.
I start with about a 6' piece of 1/2" muletape, double it over and make a slip knot with two ends. I put that over the front bottom foot first. I wrap one end backwards around the leg and tie a square knot. Then using one end I half hitch the top front leg to the bottom. Then using that same end I half hitch the bottom back leg, and using the other piece I half hitch the top back leg so the two strands cross but it keeps from you having to try and pull the back bottom leg up through the middle of the other three tied feet.
Not sure if it makes any sense but that's the best I can explain. Its quick, it works and requires no tension. Most of the time on big hogs I use hand cuffs, the fastest and easiest way.
