why is it that the american public is not enraged about the whole ordeal ? is it because they are scared of the givernment ? is it because they are brainwashed to beleive that hard working conservative patriotic rural whites are bad people

Agree with that 100%, but to add to it, those who do or might agree with whats going on are affraid they will be labeled as the that bad person or being put on them "watchlists". They are also just plain scared to stand up against cooruption. Either they are for or against tyranny, there is no place to straddle the fence and pick the winning side after the fact.
