Most I have seen was pretty rough even alone.
Most of the bird\bulls I have seen tended to be catchy.
Yeah I thought that was the point of breeding in a bulldog that is straight catch to get a rougher dog that would still get out some and hunt. That is definitely what I want, a short to medium range rough rough dog. I want to run a couple at a time. I have talked to other people on a georgia board and that is what made me originally want some bird n bull's. That's kinda how those couple of individuals explained to me and I really like the sound of it. I see what boarboy is saying, and I get his point though.
My meaning of rough it sounds like is different than others meaning of rough. Rough or grit to me means pulling hair, or putting teeth in them. Straight catch meaning they catch immediately no matter what period, and really rough meaning they will catch most hogs but not suicidal on a big one, which keeps them from being called straight catch. To me the rougher they are the more they want to try and catch. That is just how I thought about it. So when people say rough but don't want a catchy dog that is what threw me off is all.
Does anybody on here have any pic's of their bird n bull's I would like to see them if you do.
