4 months is when we start them in hawaii the only reason is because the pigs are a lot smaller and I only ran rcds and would take 2 grown dogs and one pup the bigger dogs would work the pig n the pup would jump in n out but I have bin advise against doing this here in tx because pigs get to 500 pounds and love to kill every thing a big pig in hawaii is 150 the biggest pig I Seen there was 226 I was told to wait till the dogs a year but I say it depends on the size of the pigs you hunt
