Dogs are a funny thing. They are all different, but what I have noticed with bulldogs is they usually either have it in them or they don't. She is still young as you said she is only around a year so she might not be fully on yet. I would try what goose said and give her a little time to get used to her new environment and you as her master. You should know in the next few months though either way. Good luck.
PS 45-50lb is pretty good size for a year old female pure apbt
