I just saw a goat on my way home. I pulled over to see it and see if I could get hold of it to check with a guy a few miles away that has goats. But when I stopped it took of and ran into the woods. I have have caught lots of wild things by hand even some I wish I had not grabbed hold of, but never a wild goat. I can't use dogs there even with permission because there are too many busy roads. I am going to have to hide and wait or sneak up on it. Now she does have some some large horns. If I get the back legs do goats turn on you and use the horns? I know to wear clothes and expect to get kicked. But I need some advice on how to catch a wild goat in the woods.
A goat won't hurt you a bit. If you are worried carry a rope and rope its head. If not just grab the back leg and pull it close to grab the horns and then straddle it and you can walk it to wherever you want.
