I've caught 3 boar hogs this year that had shredded ears big teeth, heavy shield all in the 200-220lb range ... True war horses. 2 of them had been known in different areas for being dog killers, hogs that couldn't be caught.. What I've learned is on hogs like these the dogs can't always do it alone.. If you know where he's headed when he breaks. Cold pack to him from the front make him change direction if you can make him take a different route than he normally takes everytime he can be caught... Another time I was working out of town and living with a friend of mine in Marquez I didnt have any of my dogs with me just hunting behind his and they were mighty fine.. we had jumped a boar hog 7 or 8 times over the course of a year in this 1 block of woods... Always got dumped or lost him.. We jumped him 1 night and kept cutting him off from hitting his normal track 45 min later he finally come out the backside on some new country. We tied him about 2 miles later he had shredded ears and good teeth went 260/270
