I have witnessed quite a few pretty solid dogs that would not honor a strange dogs bay. If they don't hunt with strange dogs often, it can take them out of their comfort zone. Some dogs do not handle long trips and being in the box for long periods of time. I am sure that the strange dogs trashing ( and the subsequent correction) right off the bat didn't help anything. I've seen some top shelf dogs that would go load up in the truck if other dogs were screwing up.

I would be more concerned with how they perform under normal circumstances. Most dogs need to be exposed to travel and strange dogs a few times before they will perform.
