Thanks Charles, I may have to do that even tho I live farther away than I used to. I'd like to get Gen 2 but hard to justify when I am tryin to build a house. We moved up to Toledo Wa. 1/2 mile north of the Toledo Airport now. It is coyote central.

Then 3rd gen is out of the question, which will run you bout $2500-4000 depending what style you get. As grunt said, the 7s can be mounted in front of a regular scope and be r&r when needed. But when grunt says 75-100 yds, i guess that depends on the scope. I used a gen 1 russian scope bought of cheaper than dirt back in 08 when i was in iraq and needed a fast target acquisition for my 240 and i could objects out to bout 500 yds but clarity SUCKED!!!, 200 yds, clarity was 3/4 a$$ descent, enough to get a good shot placement.
You might look into getting an a/c search/landing light and throw an ir filter on it and it will light up the area as if it was day light, but your looking under nods (night optic devices).
I know money is tight for yaw, im feeling it myself, iv been off work for 3wks so far and wont go back, if at all till mid april, but as the saying goes, "buy once, cry once". Im fixn to go ahead and get both my long range rifle barrles threaded and go ahead and get a can for yote, hog and deer hunting. Its a 1 time expensive buy, but it'll make it easier on my ears and more animals down in a single situation.

Why should I trade one tyrant three thousand miles away for three thousand tyrants one mile away? An elected legislature can trample a man's rights as easily as a king can!
