I had a dog for a long time that had the same thing happen, he was bay dog and had the injury before I got him. his previous owner said it glazed over and eventually cleared back up, he may end up not losing all of his vision. I know vetericyn has an eye wound spray that may be worth looking in to, I know their other products are awesome but ive never used the eye spray.
