I put zero stock in a papered dog versus non papered. But the pedigree of the dog is important to me. Be it hand written or from a registry, it can provide useful knowledge when attempting to make better dogs. If you have hands on experience with the dogs before him, then you are familiar with the dogs pedigree at least to that extent. To me the pedigree is just a piece of the puzzle to go along with the performance requirements, temperament, etc. I hope you find the gyp you're looking for...it's a shame when you have a good dog and can't get any pups from them.
