Nice pups you have there. Have you raised many of the pocahontas dogs? The reason I ask is, I hunted with one that was real heavy line bred. He was silent and plenty salty. He hunted hard but he was real houndy on track, low headed and a lot slower. He was also a little heavier made, kinda broad and heavy muscled. His want to made him in my opinion. To me that's what really makes most dogs what they are but that's another topic. I saw several litters of pups out of this dog and they all seemed to be real slow maturing. To me, most of them were just going through the motions until they hit the 2 1/2 -3yr old mark. None of the females bred to him were related so I figured it had to be something from him. Is this something from the pocahontas line or just that dog?
