Jason, a word of advice if you're going to buy a Cajun plott get it directly from Cajun.I just got done with a 6 month BS battle to get my money back on a couple of "Guaranteed" Cajun Plotts from a member on this board (not Cajun himself I want to clarify that once again).I bought a 3 yr old registered male that was supposed to be a really good dog fast on track colder nose gritty and a pup I had thousands of dollars wrapped up in these dogs.I was thinking I might add a little colder noses to my yard with them.First hunt after acclimating the grown male I brought him and my 18 month old cur gyp to the woods I found a hell of a good track and turned him out,NOTHING so I turn Rye loose she trails it 800yds into the swamp and jumps he then goes to her cause he was walking around the road listening for a bark. When he got there the hog broke Rye left him in the dust at 900 he was at 400 opening every breath when she bayed again at 1mile he was at .5 opening every breath. So I figured oh well first hunt although I was not happy at all.Second hunt I took him ,Rye ,Cypress and one of my 10month old pups we finally found a few tracks at 9:30 turn him out first same thing doesn't go more than 40yds turn the curs loose including the pup and they leave on the tracks he's running up and down the road listening at 650yds they jump the hogs he hauls butt in there at a mile the curs were more than a half mile in front and he was barking every breath the hogs split 2 curs went with a big sow and Rye went with a big barr solo the 3yr old plott I paid thousands for went back to the buggy. We caught both hogs severall hrs later and even that 10 month old pup stayed in there the whole time.Strike 2 for the plott. The third time I just brought him I had some hogs coming to a feeder feeder was set at 6am I get there at 7am all the corn was gone hog tracks everywhere and he NEVER LEFT.No big deal this respected board member gave me a guarantee hahaha.Oh and this was the 12th day I owned the dog a very fair trial period.I called him and said the exact story I posted he didn't have my money. It took 6 months of me harrassing him and eventually his wife to finally get my money back in tiny payments dealing with lies no shows and unanswered text and voicemails.I still never recovered my shipping expenses and the worste part is I sold 2 good dogs from my dogs to get the money.
My buddy Muddy in ga has a couple plotts directly from Cajuns yard he likes but beware of buying them from anyone other than Cajun cause it was a nightmare for me.
