Thanks for the advice guys. And yep my buddy is a good dude. He’s actually been my mentor in this sport, he hunts 7 days a week and makes his living by training and selling dogs.

Reuben, I like to rinse it good with a hose fairly often and I spray it with vetericyn a few times a day as well as 500mg amoxicillin once a day for 7-10 days.

Mike, that’s crazy! I would’ve raised cane with that first vet for sure...
