75% of a good dog is the man behind him. Genetics have to line up sure but I know lots of “big time hog hunters” couldn’t have made a half assed help dog out of the best bred dog out there, and that wouldn’t know what to do with a high caliber dog if it was handed to them. If you are more critical of your dogs than you are of yourself, you ought to think about that.
