We drench our dogs In summer months with cydectin. Ticks are hell down here along the coast. Other than that luckily all I have to do is call my vet and tell him what I need and he will sell me it without ever seeing the dog.
I keep all the normal stuff on hand. Dex(regular and SP), lidocaine, vitamin K1(antidote for warfarin toxicity, also helps with dogs who have lost lots of blood) anti biotic wise I like just regular old Fish-Pen pills unless you gotta get a little aggressive and go to a clavamox or something like baytril.
 Wound care I like Blu kote or Alu-shield, along with vetricyn and hydro therapy once a day if something I leave open.
