Make em squeel - on the hot days about half of those dogs wil jump in and sit in them. Another reason for the size is I don’t have to worry about them knocking them over or pissing in them. As you can see above every tub is a water nozzle. The combination of topping them off every day and a little chlorine in them help with mosquitoes. I found the cheapest ways to buy one 3 inch chlorine tablet at Walmart and bust it up with a hammer. I just threw a very small piece in each one to help with algae and mosquitoes. About once a week I completely dump them out and brush them down with a dish brush. It’s a great chore for the kids.
