I dont think they will come in from any distance but if they are rite there they will come to a caught hog.

Just off the top of my head I remember a few times.

sent a bulldog in to a couple of sows and shoats and had a big black boar run in and slice and dice him while he was caught then run off with the rest. We looked the group over good and there wasnt even a black hog in it before we sent in the bulldog.

This year in the marsh we byaed up a big black boar, sent in the catch dog and legged the hog.  I went to break off the bulldog before my buddy flipped the hog and had a big grey boar come running at us.  We hollered and waved at him and he stopped about 10 yards from us and stood there watching and huffing.  Didnt work out well for him in the end though. LOL  Soon as the first one hit the ground the baydogs were on him too. LOL
