Thanks Gary. I have a couple of options IF she takes and IF they work right, lol. I fall a deeper in love with this male dog every time I hunt him. The gyps daddy is hands down the best catch dog I’ve owned. I’ve hunted with lots of people with really nice catch dogs but never saw one that I would have traded for him. Not saying he was the world’s greatest but he sure fit the bill for me. The gyps momma was really nice. On about her third or fourth hunt, I had taken one bay dog and her to the woods by myself. I bayed a hog that I can only guess the weight of. Thirty years of doing this and seeing others that I know for sure what they weighed, this hog was 400+ and a Barr. She got two K-9’s knocked completely out and the other two broke off at the gum line and she still caught him completely solo. It took myself, my dad, and 2 big stout nephews to load him a trailer and untie him. If you’re wondering I called them to come help after I tied him because I couldn’t budge him alone. It was a shame that she lost her teeth because she had the potential to be super good, but she produced well and I learned a lot about her make up that day. If these pups get the same brains and want to as both parents I’ll be ok. It just has to be that right nitch as you know.
