Sounds like a good vet. Many of them now don’t care for our particular discipline. I have also seen many vets miss the coccidia diagnosis. Many of them will call it parvo and then the dog is lost because it didn’t receive the right medication. So, if nothing else it sounds like you found one with a brain.
