T-dog…I was using Draxxin injectable but it was not working…

The vet prescribed an anti-inflammatory-pain relief medication…also prescribed Clavamox, 1 tablet at 62.5 mg and the other of the same but 375mg…one each twice a day…I saw a difference within a few hours…flushing out the infection was a big help…

I had lanced the infected area and drained it often…the dog tried his best to lick it up…I actually let him lick it up the first time thinking he needed something from the drainage…then I thought not a good idea for several reasons…I asked the vet if she knew why he was persistent in trying to lick the slab clean…without hesitation she said in the wild and in the animal world they exhibit this type of behavior…the dog does not want to show that he is sick or vulnerable to other dogs and animals so they get rid of the evidence…sounds logical to me…

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog...
A hunting dog is born not made...
