So long as his first woods bay isn't a good boar I think he will learn and be fine, the female had already been hunted a good bit on bear and done a good job, She looks to be a survivor, she is very aware even afraid of traffic. In WV she beat us to the highway and when she saw us coming she bolted off the road, I yelled at her and here she came happy to see someone she knew, as she came to me a car came by and she bolted again, I called her and while she was coming that time a truck came by, she bolted again haha. On the little hog yesterday she bayed hard and tight, if he turned away she'd pinch him, if he made the slightest pass at her she made a big move out of the way and was instantly back to a tight position baying. She is on the small side and quick as a cat. I'll be curious to see the dog pup run a track, always anxious to see their track speed. I expect he'll be fast enough since there is good speed on both sides of his pedigree but it is still a fact that remains to be seen. One side of his pedigree is very similar to the Spud dog Cajun had a few years ago, the other is Gantte blood. The weather is not good here today 25 degrees with a sustained 17 mph wind and going to get worse for a few days, maybe down to single digits.
