I will relate a little story here.

I was in a situation where I needed to unload a horse along the side of the road. It was dark outside. I had my flashers on. As the horse steps out of the trailer, he side stepped into the road. A car was coming at us at a pretty good clip. I was freaking out. About 40' before the car got to us, they climbed all over the brakes. Skidded to a stop within 10' of us. I was fuming, until I realized that the lady driving the car was freaked out too. She actually did not see the horse until she hit the brakes.
All ended well. other than getting our hearts racing.  But from everything I saw, it looked like she was heading straight to hit the horse, and was not slowing down. Even though my hazards were on to indicate trouble.

Do you think that there is a chance this person did not see your dogs, and was wondering what the heck you were flashing your lights for?
