I don't  beleave she will most cur dogs are silent....It might effect some but I don't think it will hurt.. Sometimes a dog that barks on track is good for pups when they bark they keep the pups hooked to the race where a silent dog will loose a pup!
  I agree with you, keeps young dogs on their toes and gets them going with them more and going to a bay,lets them no something interesting is going on and keeps it interesting for the pups and holds their attention better. Most curs are silent, but if a open mouth hound gets them started barking on track then they probably would have anyway sooner or later...all mine are silent but I have started lots of puppies with open mouthed dogs and they never became open... As for running a hound with a cur to try and keep them silent, i tried it many times, had a few plots that turned out silent and hunted like curs, but I think that was just luck, them hounds have a mind of their own, if they want to bark they are going to...if it were me id run them with the hound...mayb not every time...but sometimes, it will speed their progress in my opinion.
