i think its genetics and age jmo............they mature slower in the hill country because they dont have the diet to grow faster like in farm country giving the teeth time to grow, again jmo

i think many of the hill country hogs are much older than people think, my dad believes a big ole boar like the ones jesse and i have killed over the years could be as much as 15-20 yrs old

I used the ageing plan someone has online dont remember who did it, and a lil 100 # boar with 1.5 inch teeth would have been 4-5 yrs old, most would have guessed this boar to be a year or two old at most, jmo but i think he was 4-5 yrs old

there are many different ideas about tooth growth and ageing these are just mine
