Hey Wcg89! Here in Hawaii we have a cross of the old Polynesian pig and European pigs. The Polynesian pig is a smaller bodied pig with bigger tusks usually found 60-120 pounds with 5+'' tusks or what we here in Hawaii call ''curlahs'' because they curl back into the pigs snout. I know of a few ranches that have brought in the Russian blood but as far as if they are mingling with our current wild boars is not known. The pure polynesian blood is still being kept going but in the forests most of the free range pigs have crossed with the European or the domestic pigs that got away from the villages after the "white " man visited and I have pulled out a few 200+ lbers with the curling tusks. If or actually when the Russian blood gets in the mix I will be pretty excited to see what our pigs will be able to acheive in mass coupled with the toothy boars we have now.
